If Your Business Were a Garden: Trusting What You Can’t Yet See

I just received another beautiful wisdom nugget from Eos Koch, and it landed in my heart like rain on thirsty soil: “If your business were a garden…”
Such a simple yet powerful way to tune in.

It made me pause. Breathe.
And ask myself: Am I nurturing my business like a living, breathing thing? Am I showing up with trust, or am I gripping for results before the roots have had a chance to deepen?

Because the truth is—just like in a garden—so much of our work happens beneath the surface.

We plant with intention.
We water with care.
We show up, even when nothing seems to be happening.

But faith is what carries us through the unseen seasons. It’s the quiet whisper that says: Keep going. The bloom is coming.

🌱 What does it take to trust the seeds you’re planting?

Seeds don’t sprout overnight—and neither do soulful businesses.

Trusting the seeds means believing in the energy you infused into your offers, your creations, your voice.
It means remembering why you started.
It means releasing the pressure to perform and returning to presence.

Here are a few questions to reflect on:

  • What seeds have I already planted in my business that I’m not giving myself credit for?

  • What does trust feel like in my body? Can I sit with that feeling daily?

  • Where am I trying to rush the process because I’m afraid nothing’s happening?

🌸 How can you show up with faith before you see the flowers bloom?

Faith is an energetic choice. A remembering. A practice.

We don’t wait to see petals before we dance in joy.
We become the sun. The rhythm. The love.

Here’s how you might begin:

  • Celebrate small signs of life—tiny sprouts of connection, creativity, or clarity.

  • Speak to your business like a wise, wild garden: “I see you. I trust your pace. I’m here to care for you.”

  • Embody the energy of already having what you’re building. How would you speak, move, share if the flowers were already blooming?

Try journaling with:

  • In what ways am I being invited to soften and trust more deeply?

  • What does showing up with faith (not fear) look like in my daily rhythm?

  • What stories am I telling myself about growth—and are they true?

🌾 A New Way of Being in Business

If you’re a sensitive, soulful creator, the traditional ways of growing a business might feel harsh or disconnected.
You don’t want to hustle. You want to root.
You don’t want to perform. You want to express.
You don’t want to market—you want to connect.

That’s why metaphors like this one—your business as a garden—can shift everything.
It reminds us that slow is not stuck. That unseen doesn’t mean unworthy. That you are already growing something sacred.

So today, I invite you to:
🌿 Trust your soil.
🌿 Love your process.
🌿 Keep tending. Keep believing.

Your flowers are on their way. 🌸

With love,
Vanessa
